Product description
The Story
This is real English boxwood, preserved and shaped into a tapered cone. It comes on its own root ball rather than in a pot, so you can set it into a planter you already love.
There are two sizes: Small at 12 inches and Large at 16 inches. A matched pair on a console or a mix of sizes on a mantel both work.
Design Function
A preserved boxwood cone topiary on a root ball, made to drop into your own planter for structured greenery.
Details at a Glance
Product: Boxwood Cone Topiary
Material: Preserved boxwood
Small: 4" × 4" × 12"H; root ball 2.5" × 2.5" × 2.25"
Large: 5" × 5" × 16"H; root ball 4.5" × 4.5" × 4"
Planter: Not included
Care: Indoor use only; keep out of direct sun; mist lightly only in very dry airThe Preserved Greenery Standard
Preserved boxwood is real foliage treated to stay green without water. Sun fades it, and too much moisture can cause mold, so keep it indoors, out of direct sun, and mist only lightly in very dry air.
How to Style It
- Set a pair in matching planters on an entry console.
- Use one of each size for a stepped look on a mantel.
- Drop it into a white footed cachepot.
- Put it in a blue-and-white planter for contrast.
- Flank a mirror with two Large topiaries.
Where It Works Best
- Entry consoles
- Mantels
- Dining sideboards
- Bookshelves
- Kitchen counters
Mel’s Styling Take
I like a pair of these flanking a mirror on a console. The cone shape gives structure without the width of a full arrangement. A plain cream or white planter keeps it classic, and a blue-and-white one makes it a little more playful.
Pairs Well With
- The Wellon Footed Cachepot: a white scalloped cachepot is a classic planter for the root ball; check the opening fits.
- Small White Ceramic Planter / Vase with Loop Handles: a small white planter with loop handles suits the 12" size.
- Blue and White Woven Trellis Jar: a blue-and-white jar beside it adds pattern next to the solid green.
- 16" Preserved Boxwood Wreath: a preserved boxwood wreath repeats the same foliage in a round shape.
- Whitewash Mango Wood Serving Tray, 3 Sizes: a whitewashed mango wood tray gives the planter a light wood base.
Good to Know
- Planter not included; choose one that hides the root ball.
- Indoor use only.
- Keep out of direct sunlight to reduce fading.
- Mist lightly only in very dry air; too much moisture can cause mold.
